Accountable to: Sandra LaRocque, Adult and Continuing Education Director
Salary: Starting salary is at the Grade 5 base salary = $28,240 and can be up to $32,240 depending on experience.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Elementary or Secondary Education. Classroom teaching experience required along with office management. A North Dakota Teacher Certification or license required and/or working toward.

Summary of Work:
This position requires knowledge and experience in teaching students at all grade levels and in all subject areas; knowledge and experience in office and program management; and the ability to work with the public.

Areas of Job Accountability and Performance:

  • Assist Adult and Continuing Education Director with assigned activities pertaining to registration of CEU, dual credit, co-op education offerings.
  • Assist in the enrollment process of students in ABE/GED program.
  • Assist in the educational assessment and evaluation of students in ABE/GED program.
  • Assist in the development of an educational plan for the student in ABE/GED program.
  • Instruct/tutor ABE/GED student(s) in all academic areas required for the State GED Test; as well as other areas required according to proposal guidelines.
  • Assist in maintaining records of ABE/GED student progress and attendance.
  • Coordinate GED testing dates with Program Director/GED examiner.
  • Assist in maintaining Student Information Management System program.
  • Attend training, workshops, and/or courses relevant to teaching practices and methodologies used with adult learners.
  • Assist in coordinating Co-op Education activities and registration.
  • Ability to work flexible hours when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned pertaining to job.
